One of our expert designers will meet with you to create a pool tailored to fit your backyard, considering your preferences, needs, and budget. We will then provide you with a design and a complete bid for your approval. Once the contract is in place, we will obtain the necessary engineering from a qualified structural engineer and submit for permits from the local jurisdiction. After securing the building permit, construction will begin in full swing.
Excavation is one of the most exciting phases of pool construction. It involves digging and forming the swimming pool. The first step is the pre-grade, where the pool site is cleared and graded to prepare for the pool. At this stage, the final shape of the pool is marked on the ground, and the perimeter is staked, with forms added to outline the pool’s structure. The time needed for excavation depends on several factors, including access, soil conditions, and the size and depth of the pool. On average, most pools are dug in about a week.
After excavation, we move on to the rough plumbing and electrical phase. This involves digging trenches for all the pipes and conduits required to operate your pool. The plumbing and electrical work may be completed in a few stages, or all trenching and installation may be done simultaneously.
This includes setting up the suction and return lines, water-feature lines, fill lines, gas lines for pool heaters, and lines for future barbecues or fire pits, as well as the electrical service line. Typically, this phase takes up to 10 days to complete and may occur before, during, or after the steel phase.
The steel phase involves adding rebar in the shape of the pool, which is tied together by our crew using baling wire in a grid pattern specified by the structural engineer. Depending on the size, shape, and any raised walls or bond beams, this step generally takes about three days to complete.

Up until this point, your backyard may look like a construction zone, with trenches scattered around and a large hole in your yard, lined with a crisscross pattern of rebar. Shotcrete is the process of applying concrete to the pool's surface, forming the shell of your pool. Crews will arrive and use a hose to apply the concrete, giving the pool its near-finished appearance.

After the Gunite or shotcrete is installed, the waterline tile and any rock or boulders will be added to your pool. Having tiles at the waterline is essential for easy maintenance at the waterline. For pools with a contemporary or classic design, tile is not only applied at the waterline but also to raised walls or water features, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
(Concrete, Pavers, Trex, Tile, Stone, etc.) Once the tile is installed, the next step is the decking. The most common choice for pool decks is concrete, but other options include grass or landscaping, tile, stone, pavers, and natural or synthetic wood products. Decking installation typically takes at least a couple of days for forming and finishing, though more complex surfaces may take several days or even weeks. The deck crew will also be responsible for installing the equipment pad, where all the necessary equipment—such as pumps, filters, heaters, and more—will be located.
During the equipment set, we will install all the necessary equipment. This includes installing the lights, hooking up the control panels, and mounting the pumps, heater, and filter to the equipment pad, followed by plumbing them into place.
Plaster provides the waterproofing surface for your pool and is typically applied in a single day. Once the plaster finish is applied, it’s time to start filling your pool with water.
Once the bulk of construction is complete, all excess materials and debris will be removed from the pool site. Empty boxes will be hauled away, leaving your backyard ready to be enjoyed, no longer looking like a construction zone. The final step is the pool start-up, which ensures all equipment is functioning properly and the pool is properly balanced with the necessary chemicals to prevent algae and other issues.
